Day 1 Arrive Kathmandu

You will be met by a representative of World Expeditions and transferred to the Radisson hotel. Remainder of the afternoon at leisure. A pre-trek briefing will be given around 5pm where arrangements will be made for the distribution of your kit bag, sleeping bag and down/fibrefill jacket. Evening drinks are held in the hotel for all World Expeditions clients arriving today. Drinks and snacks will generally be served from 6:30 pm until 7:15pm, and this is a great opportunity to get acquainted with your fellow group members before heading out to dinner.

Get Adventurous Experience with Biking & Cycling in Nepal

Namje : in CNN's '12 Best Unheared Places'

The Cable News Network (CNN) enlisted Namje, a Magar village in Dhankuta , eastern Nepal, in the ‘12 best places you’ve never heard of’.The hill top village of Namje is inaccessible by road and one has to take an arduous trek to reach it. This has kept the village largely isolated and only a handful of tourists have visited this village. Stunning views of Mt. Prime Minister of Nepal Dr. Baburam Bhattarai formally announced the much-talked-about Visit Lumbini Year -2012 (VLY-2012) from the birthplace of Gautam Buddha on Thursday, inviting the world to work towards creating a peaceful society through Buddha’s peace message.
According to the government statistics, 99,508 tourists (excluding Indians) visited Lumbini in 2010.“I formally declare the year 2012 as Visit Lumbini Year so as to make the birthplace of Buddha a centre of global attraction,” said the prime minister at a programme . Lumbini is one of the country’s 10 sites inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage Site List.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (D)
Upon arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport of Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by Wind Horse Representative and be transferred to your hotel. Check in hotel and take rest. If you feel like, you can take a short tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square -the old Royal Palace Complex where you will see a cluster of temples, including the Temple of Kumari -the Living Goddess of Nepal. Day 02: At Kathmandu (B/D)

Today, you will explore the ancient and medieval Hindu Temples , Buddhist Stupas and monasteries, palaces, monuments and shrines, some of which are recognized by UNESCO as the World Heritage Site. In the morning, you will visit the Pashupatinath Temple-the holiest Hindu Temple of Nepal, situated on the bank of Sacred Bagmati River-one of the tributaries of the Ganges, the Boudhanath Stupathe largest of this type and a must visit place in a life time for the Buddhists. In the afternoon, you will drive 14 km north-east to Bhaktapur-the best preserved medieval Malla Principality where you can see the intricate wood and stone works in the temples, monasteries and houses of Bhaktapur. From here, you will proceed to Patan-another medieval Malla Principality, renowned as the City of Arts and Crafts .The sightseeing tour concludes in the late afternoon and drive back to your hotel. Day 03: Kathmandu-Pokhara
After breakfast in the hotel, you will be transferred to the domestic airport for the flight to Pokhara. The 30 minutes flight by a small Beech Craft or SAABs craft offers you spectacular views of Mount Langtang , Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, Hiuchuli and other majestic peaks of the Himalays. Ask the seat of right side when you check in . Upon arrival in small airfield of Pokhara, you will be transferred to your hotel. Check in hotel and after some rest, you will go for local sightseeing tour. Davis Fall, Gupteshwar Cave , Tibetan Village and Seti Gorges are the tourist attraction of Pokhara. Day 04: At Pokhara
Morning, excursion to Sarangkot. Afternoon, boating in Fewa Lake . Sarangkot (1,592m), the most popular destination in the surrounding of Pokhara, lies 5 km west of the old bazaar. Sarangkot is famous for the sunrise view and offers the spectacular views of Annapurnas, Dhaulagiri, Hiunchuli and other majestic peaks of the Himalayas . On the way back, you will stop in Bindhyabasini Temple -the center of religious activities of Pokhara. On Saturdays and Tuesdays, you can see people making animal sacrifices to the goddess.In the afternoon, you would love to take the boating trip in the tranquil water of Fewa Lake . Day 08: Drive to Chitwan National Park (B/L/D)
The journey follows the bank of Marshayngdi River and joins Kathmandu-Chitwan Highway at Mugling. Its about 4 hours drive in total. Upon arrival in your resort, welcome drinks are served and a brief orientation about the facilities, services and activities given by the activity manager. Day 09: Jungle Safari Tours in Chitwan (B/L/D)
You will be kept all day busy in various safari acitivities that includes elephant ride, dug out canoe trip, bird watching and jeep safaris. The commonly sighted animals include One Horned Asian Rhinoceors, 4 species of deer, 2 species of monkeys, sloth bears, wild boars, Gharial crocodile etc. If your luck favors, of course, you will also see Royal Bengal Tiger. Day 10: Flight to Kathmandu
After a morning tea or coffee, you will take an hour long birding tour, escorted by the bird expert guide. Nepali Visa
You can obtain Nepal visa upon arrival at Kathmandu airport. You just have to complete the visa application (distributed on Nepal bound flight or are available immigration area at the airport) and attach two passport size photographs. A single entry visa costs US$ 30 and required to pay in cash in loose changes. Other local permits wherever required are obtained by us for you and is included in the trip cost.
Physical Fitness LevelSirubari village tour requires 3 hours walking uphill along a well-maintained trail and during your 2 days village stay, you will require to walk 2-3 hours (optional). Overweight or people with cardiac and pulmonary complaints may not want to take this tour.

Accommodation
You will stay in deluxe 5 star properties with all modern amenities. In Chitwan National Park, you will have safari style private bungalow accommodation or tents, twin bedded and attached toilet with hot shower. In Sirubari Village, you will stay in private house with local family. The accommodation is simple but comfortable with good bedding as well as clean toilet facilities. You will be missing hot showers, television, bottled beer, hamburgers, rubbish on the trail and thousands of tourists but you will be rewarded with delicious local food and drink, comfortable accommodation, a welcome like you have never had before and the culture experience of a lifetime.

Activities
This trip is aimed for the people who wants to refrain from trekking but still wants to see the rural life, local cultures, traditions, mountains and panorama. The journey begins with Cultural touring of Kathmandu valley that includes visiting of the medieval temples, palaces, monasteries, bazaars etc. At Kathmandu, you can take (optional) an hour long mountain flight that gives you opportunity to have a close view of Mount Everest-the highest mountain in the world and other highest mountains on earth.

You will take a short Himalayan flight towards Pokhara-a beautiful glacial valley nestled in the laps of Annapurnas and fishtail where you will explore its caves, falls, gorges and take boating trip in Fewa Lake. From Pokhara, you will head towards Sirubari Village-the principal destination of this trip. You will drive 3 hours to Arjun Chaupari and follow the uphill trail to Sirubari Village, a totally unspoiled Gurung settlement set in the hiss at 1700 meters above sea level. The climate is ideal at any season of the year. During the September to June season with warm days and nights. The trail to the village is steep but well made and most people manage to reach the village after a three-hour walk. You will be welcomed into the community and invited to stay in the home of one of the villages. The food is delicious and you will be eating your meals with the family. Each night there will be entertainment provided by the community, one evening this will be in the form of traditional Gurung and Nepali dancing and singing. You can join in if you want. The living culture and tradition of Gurungs blended with their rich hospitality make for an unforgettable experience for any one who visits Sirubari. During your stay you will be able to feel what it is like to live the life of a Nepali villager. Walk with your family while they go about their daily chores, tending animals, tilling the fields, going to school with the children, or just sitting in the sun talking to neighbors. Feel free to wander, safely, by yourself and look at all of the developments that the community have supported and funded the primary health center with its doctor, the agricultural service center. The veterinary hospital. The plant nursery and forest plantation. The list goes on. And, at the end of your stay, you will be overwhelmed by the farewell that your new family will give you. An easy one-hour walk above the village is the viewpoint at Thumro. Spread before you are rolling foothills dotted with isolated farming communities and crowned by an array of snow peaks that will leave you breathless. From Manaslu in the east through Machhapuchare and the Annapurnas and around to Dhaulagiri the Himalaya giants all line up for your camera to capture.
After having a day in Pokhara for rest, you will drive to Chitwan National Park, one of the most famous game park of Asia-renowned for the revival of Rhino population which was almost extinct in the early 70's. At Chitwan National Park, you will indulge in several jungle safaris such as elephant riding, canoe trip, nature walk, bird watching, jeep ride etc. The commonly spotted animals are One Horned Rhinoceros, 4 species of deer, 2 species of monkeys, 2 species of crocodiles, wild boar, and sloth bear. The park also has a good tiger population but being nocturnal animal, tiger sighting is a rare event.
From Chitwan, you will take return flight to Kathmandu and continue your journey for onward destination.




Bunjee Jumping in Nepal


The ultimate thrill of a Bungee jump can now be experienced in Nepal at perhaps the best site in the world. Nepal's first bungee jumping site is situated 160m over the wild Bhote Koshi river, and located close to the Nepal-Tibet border, a three-hour bus ride from Kathmandu.

The jump, at 160m, was designed by one of New Zealand's leading bungee consultants, and is operated by some of the most experienced jump masters in the business. It's mishap-proof. The agency takes safety "very, very seriously".

Ministry is optimistic that this kind of events will increase tourist arrival and ultimately will create jobs and reduce poverty. In the budget government already committed fund to construct new international airport at Bara and upgrade few domestic airports. In addition, Ministry is searching for new trekking routes and looking to invest on infrastructure development. Previous such event was held back in 1998 as ‘Visit Nepal 1998’.
